Cookie Monster’s Hogmanay Cookie Exchange

Posted by herkenham on December 23, 2008

This has turned into an annual event for Calamity and Elviejo and I know many of us look forward to it each year. There were all sorts of appetizers to get us started and it was ok if you had dessert first as there were so many goodies. Calamity had a good history lesson on her Scottish Christmas and the real meaning of Hogmanay. (I thought it just meant there would be many hogs at her party.) But no, have her tell you about the Hogmanay Celebration on New Years. We played Cachergories, like scattergories, which GeoFoxy was very good at, and Cachers Bingo which was a great way to learn everybody’s real name. Then of course the kids made Calamity break out the Limbo stick and that started all kinds of dancing around. We were even visited by their 4 foot Lizard, who had to greet everyone with his slithering tongue. A very fun time indeed! Those of you that missed it might think about penciling it in for next year.
